Summer Piano Camps

Summer Piano Camp FAQs

  • BPC I does not require a home instrument, but it is strongly recommended so that students are able to practice and advance comfortably in the accelerated format of camp. A home instrument is required for BPC II, Pura Vida, and any weekly classes following BPC I.

  • All camps will be led by the owner, Teacher Leah.

  • Camps are limited to 6 students to ensure individual instruments and plenty of 1-1 attention. There must be at least 3 students enrolled by 3 weeks prior to the start date to confirm a camp.

  • Each camp runs Monday-Friday, 1-4pm. Students may be dropped off as early as 12:50pm to facilitate a prompt start to each day. There will be a casual performance for friends and family on the Friday of each camp from 3:30-4:00pm.

  • Students should bring a water bottle and a snack from home. Camp t-shirts and all necessary materials will be provided on the first day, and students should bring these consistently.

  • Tuition is $950/student and includes 15 hours of instruction, a camp t-shirt, and all necessary materials.

  • Yes! Use the code earlybird26 for $50 off when you register for any camp by March 31st. Once you register for your first camp, you'll receive a code for $100 off your second week of camp.

The studio also offers a $50 credit each time you refer a new family - perfect for bringing a friend to camp!

  • Refunds will only be issued if the instructor is suddenly unable to teach OR if the minimum camp enrollment (3 students) is not met by 3 weeks prior to the camp's start date. Refunds will not be offered under any other circumstances; however, the studio may offer a tuition credit toward future classes if unforeseen circumstances make it impossible for the student to participate.

Beginner Piano Camp I:

The Journey Begins

BPC I offers an accelerated start to the musical journey and is the equivalent of the first 2-3 months of weekly lessons. This camp is ideal for beginners ages 7-10 with no prior piano experience.

Students will learn the fundamentals of rhythm, keyboard geography, piano technique, and reading music notation. Activities will give students opportunities to practice independently, play in unison, and play in an ensemble.

BPC I will be offered during these weeks in 2026:

• June 8-12, 1-4pm

• June 29-July 3, 1-4pm

Graduates of BPC I will be ready to join a weekly class in Piano Safari Level 1, Beginner Piano Camp II: Animal Adventures, or the Pura Vida multi-level camp.

My kids had the best experiences at piano summer camps at Vibrant Valley. They had no prior piano knowledge as they started but at the end of the camps they were able to play more than a dozen songs and read simple notes. Now they are enrolled in weekly lessons and they really enjoy them. Ms. Leah is a brilliant and inspiring music instructor. She is kind and patient. She knows how to connect with young students and make the learning journey so much fun!

BPC II will be offered during these weeks in 2026:

• June 15-19, 1-4pm

• July 6-10, 1-4pm

Graduates of BPC II will be ready to join a weekly class in Piano Safari Level 2 or the Pura Vida multi-level camp.

Pura Vida! Music & Life in Costa Rica

Pura Vida means "pure life". Ticos and Ticas, as the people of Costa Rica are called, use this phrase (Pura Vida!) to say "hello," "good-bye," "yes," and "right on." But "Pura Vida" is not only a greeting; it is also a way of life.

Ticos and Ticas are known for their hospitality, nature protection, kindness, and love of life. Learning about the world we live in through another culture, language, music, and instruments invites us to think differently.

Pura Vida is a multi-level camp emphasizing ensemble skills. In addition to exciting Latin-American music and cultural explorations, this multi-level program offers flexible challenges to encourage learning at all stages while fostering collaboration and friendship. This camp is ideal for beginners with some experience through early intermediates ages 7-18.

Pura Vida will be offered during these weeks in 2026:

• June 22-26, 1-4pm

• July 20-24, 1-4pm
